Our Family

About Erin

I was born and rasied in Cape Girardeau. After college I got married and we moved to St. Louis a year later. Soon after we bought a house and had a baby. Our lastest adventure was deciding to bring our family back to Cape! It's great being so close to both sets of grandparents and family!

The Color Run 2013

Last Sunday my friend Trisha and I did The Color Run for the first time.  We signed up to run with a few girls that Trey works with.  It was so much fun!!  I really wasn't super sure what to expect, I mean I knew it would be messy but I didn't know how pumped up I would get!  Lol, we all can't wait to do it again next time it comes to St. Louis.  We walked the 5K in a little under an hour.  I think next year I will "train" just a little bit and maybe even run some of it!!

Good morning, we're ready to get messy!!!

Love the tutu action!

Trisha did an amazing job on the shirts!!

Starting line.

The whole gang BEFORE!

Duh!

This is how crazy it gets at the color sections.

Yep the blue got me right in the ear.  Not cool guy with the blue.  Lol, and I made fun of Trisha for wearing her headband over her ears....

Just finished!!  Yes, we did it!!

After party awesomeness!!

So cool!

Hard to breath.

Got a little clean from the left blower.

The whole gang AFTER!!
It's such a fun, laid back 5K!!  I highly recommend it!!  I will see you next year Color Run!!!  Hey I might even take the kids next time!

Happy 30th John!!

John is one of Trey's buddies since he was a kid!! We always have so much fun with John and his now wife Amber!! She is always so good to him and planned this awesome surprise party!! We had dinner at Rosalitia's on Washington Avenue in St. Louis and then went to a sport bar for a while and headed home early(ish).

SURPRISE!!

Balloon wishes!!

Happy birthday good buddy!! Hope the 30s bring you lots of happiness!! Glad we got to celebrate with you!! We headed home around 11 so I could get a little sleep before The Color Run in the morning.

As we were leaving we were stopped at a red light and I look over and see my Uncle Dave and Aunt Annie leaving a concert!! What a small world and great ending to a perfect day!!

Eckert's & Fitz's Rootbeer

This past weekend we headed to St. Louis to do a few fun things with the kids and go to a surprise 30th birthday party for a friend!  Oh and I participated in my first 5K- The Color Run!!  As a kid I remember going to the local apple orchard, since we don't have a local one anymore I thought it would be fun to take them to one while we were in St. Louis.  We actually had to drive to Bellville, IL but it wasn't to far of a drive.  Eckert's was so fun, I think they each ate their weight in apples!!!  While we were waiting for the dads to finish getting ready I tried to get a few pictures of the boys.

Future best buddies!

We tried!!

Look at that sweet little face!

Frankie didn't want to be in the picture but I think this is adorable!

I was holding Colton hands and Frankie walks up and grabs his other hand!!  It was so sweet!

Picking his first apple ever!!

Success!!

Silly boy!

Eating some apples

Heading to the "carnival"!

Kind of ok with the steep slide on the bounce house.

At the bottom, not so ok!

Colton was tired and hungry!!

After Eckert's we headed to the Loop to eat at Fitz's.  GPS took up through East St. Louis, I would be lying if I didn't say I was a little scared.  Not to mention Trey is driving like 10 under the speed limit, lol!  Anyway after the scenic tour and the wrong turns we finally made it to Fitz's!  I love the place and the appetizers were delicious but I didn't really care for the meal!  I would be willing to try it again though!

Colton loved him so rootbeer!!

Silly boy!

The gang!!!

So thankful that we have amazing family that is always ready to have fun and try new things!!  We always have a blast with Aunt Laura, Uncle Jeremy & baby Landen!!  Can't wait for our next adventure!!!

Fair 2013

Wednesday 9/11/13
We always go to the fair at least once while it is in town.  Last year was Frankie's first time riding the ride and he stuck with like 2 that were for little kids.........this year he ventured out a little and did some of the big rides (for littles)!!  Our evening started off a little late so we didn't get to do everything that we wanted to do but we still had a blast!  Papa met us there and good thing because Frankie and Colton both wanted to run everywhere!!  I asked Trey on the way home if he had $60 worth of fun and he said I don't know about that but the kids sure did!!  I might have to get a second job next year when Colton can ride the rides too!!
The best I could get.

First ride.......

All smiles!

So serious while in action.

He seemed fine the whole boat ride but started to tear up when he was getting off.  He said he was scared.

We couldn't go to the fair and not get a corndog.....

and a turkey leg....

and a applesauce pouch!  Lol, he had corndog and turkey leg too but he was still hungry!

Getting ready to the ride the carousal.

I couldn't get him to ride on a horse. Let me tell you this was not as fun as I remember.  I was dizzy for a while after this one.

This was his face the entire time it was moving.

He loved driving the train.

Colton trying to figure out how to get in for a ride.

Fishin'

The spinning bear.

Colton's prize

Frankie's prize.

I had to ride the "alligator' with him.

Did I mention I hate spinning ride!!

Busy bee walking over all the cords.

Time to call it a night!!!
Well we didn't make it to the animals this year but we still had a blast!!  Can't wait for fair week next year!!  Making memories!!!  Sorry for the picture overload, I didn't realize that I took that many pictures!
