Our Family

About Erin

I was born and rasied in Cape Girardeau. After college I got married and we moved to St. Louis a year later. Soon after we bought a house and had a baby. Our lastest adventure was deciding to bring our family back to Cape! It's great being so close to both sets of grandparents and family!

Kera's Bachelorette Party

Last Saturday was a friends bachelorette party in St. Louis.  When I go up there and have to be away from the kids for a full day I like to make the best of it.  Haha!  First I had lunch with my dear friend Amy from college at Red Robin--yum!!  After that I went to Jeremy & Laura's new house to check it out and snuggle with baby Landen.  Then headed to Trey's cousin's bridal shower and finally to the hotel to get ready for dinner and the bachelorette party.

While I was gone, my parents kept the boys.  There was an event at the airport that they took them both to.  Maybe my future little pilot!

Colton- 2 Months

Mister man it has already been 2 months!!  Time flies when you aren't getting any sleep, I mean when your having fun!  Haha!  This time around I feel like I know what I am doing more so we have been able to have more fun!  We go somewhere almost every day, I am trying to make you a portable baby.  For the most part you love to go and do and don't mind your car seat unless you are hungry. :)

* You smile all the time.  You love when we talk to you.  You even try to talk back.

* You can roll over on your side, but you usually don't stay that way for very long.

* You can also turn your self all the way around when laying on your back on the floor.

* You love to sit up and every stand.  Your legs are so strong, you often stand your self up when someone is sitting down holding you.

* Your neck is so strong and can hold you head up for quite sometime.

* You enjoy napping in the swing, bouncing in the bouncy seat and playing on your activity mat.

* You are eating 4 oz bottle about 7 times a day.

* You can sleep at least 3 hours between feeding at night and usually take several short naps during the day.

* You wear size 1 diaper and 0-3 month clothing.

* At your 2 month dr appointment you were 12 lbs 7 oz- 65% & 24 inches long- 83%.

Just for fun!!
 Our little lion baby!
Our sailor boy!

I feel like you have grown so much in these 2 short months.  I know everything will go by much faster this time so I am trying to cherish everything (even the crying and the 2 am bottles).  I am not as picky this time on how things are done so you are a really mellow baby.  You don't cry much and when you do you really need something (bottle, nap, to be burped).  I love rocking you to sleep and playing through out the day.  I will be sad when I have to go back to work soon but I know you will be in good hand and will have your big brother to watch out for you at Ms Erica's!  You are so special to all of us and a perfect fit to our family!!

Fair 2012

Last week was fair week.  It's something that I always did as a kid and even though out college.  Trey and I would go there at least one day just to eat!  Haha!  We went to the fair with my parents on Sunday but Trey had to work that day so he was sleeping.  Frankie had so much fun I knew I wanted to take him back when Trey could go.  Also I forgot to bring my camera so I didn't have any pictures (well we got a few on our phones). We went on Friday afternoon because it was $10 arm band day and since I have been on maternity leave a friend of mine and her son (same age as Frankie) have been hanging out every Friday, so it worked out perfect!  First off sorry for picture overload and secondly all loaded out of order but enjoy!

Papa Dave treated the boys to a game.  They got to pick 3 ducks for $5 and then pick a prize. Haha!

This was our very last ride, Frankie screamed the whole time. He needed a snack & a nap ASAP.

It wouldn't be a trip to the fair without giving the monkey a quarter.

 This was us walking in.

 Checking out the turtles.
This is what Frankie thought of the roosters and rabbits.  SCARED!!!

He is reaching for me, haha!  He did warm up to them a little bit but would yell "don't do that" if he heard the rooster.

 Petting the pony.
Frankie & Warren looking at the horse.

 Frankie face was priceless when..............

this lamb got out of his cage,  Don't worry Papa to rescue!!

 Family pic

 Ridding the rides!!!

It doesn't really seem like the boys had fun because there were no smiles i the pictures but I think they had a blast!!

No fair would be complete without funnel cake!!

Fair Parade 2012

We had so much fun much fun at the fair parade!  Both boys did great!  You have to get there early to get a seat but then you end up having to wait until it starts so you have to entertain Frankie some.  I also love that my parents come with us.  I always went with my mom and dad every year even when I was in college.  The only years that we didn't go was when I moved away.  Trey even got to come this year!  I am so happy he got to go because I feel like he has to miss a lot of fun stuff with Frankie since he works night and has to sleep when we do a lot of the stuff.  I always try to show him the excitement that Frankie had but it's not the same!

 Colton & Grammy
 My love!
Trying to get Frankie to sit still.
Had to change his outfit because he spit up and he was quite so we let him
lay here until he wanted to get back up.
Frankie marching with his helmet on.  Haha!
Frankie didn't want to take a picture, but love that cute little face anyway.

This is pretty much what he did the entire time until the race cars came.

 Papa is so silly!
 Waving at the tractors.
Clapping and saying "I did it"
Bath time.

When we left we ended up having to wait forever to get out of our parking spot and traffic was really backed up but the boys were pretty good in the car.  Frankie never stopped talking, he had a major sugar buzz going.  Haha!!  Can't wait till next year.  We will have 2 walking around then!

Labor Day Weekend

Family came into town which was so fun because we hadn't seen then in a while and they got to meet Colton.  They got in late Friday night so we just started off fresh on Saturday morning.  Trey was off on Saturday so he got to hang out for a little bit too.  I said that I was going to take just as many pictures of Colton as I did Frankie so I am really trying to do that. It seems like I am doing ok at my goal.  Before we loaded up in the car to head to Cape we took some family pictures.

 Love this of us three!!

 My favorite boys!!
Big J, Frankie, Uncle Sam
Once we got to my parents that playing started.  Big J had the legos out and Frankie thought he was hot stuff playing with big kid toys.  He actually played really good with them.  Almost better than with his own toys.
He like to jump off the couch onto a bean bag chair.  Not really a good idea but, oh well.  My dad would catch him sometime which of course Frankie thought was really funny.
If dad doesn't catch him he basically does a face plant on to the bean bag.
Colton looking at uncle Sam like who are you.
Frankie and Samantha
Frankie's buddy for the weekend.
We had to wait out the tornado warning in the basement on Saturday.  Frankie was clueless. Haha!
Chachy and Sophie didn't seem to care and wanted to be upstairs.

After the storm was over to headed to Casa for dinner.
Big smiles, it's almost like he wants to talk but nothing comes out.
Sunday we went back to Le Bounce.  Frankie once again had a blast!!

Ashley even drove home for a visit!!

It's always a great time seeing family!!  We had such a good time, can't wait to do it again!!
