Our Family

About Erin

I was born and rasied in Cape Girardeau. After college I got married and we moved to St. Louis a year later. Soon after we bought a house and had a baby. Our lastest adventure was deciding to bring our family back to Cape! It's great being so close to both sets of grandparents and family!

Ty & Storie's Birthday Party

Ty and Storie are our babysitter's children and just happen to live across the street.  Frankie loves both of them so much and talks about them all the time.  Ty turned 5 on Thanksgiving and Storie turned 3 today.  They had their birthday party at Le Bounce.  It was so much fun.  Usually I have to help Frankie climb up and jump and basically do everything for him.  This time something just clicked for him and he did it all by himself.  He would climb up and then slide down, he even went in the bounce house by himself.  I am so proud of him!

 Best buddies- Frankie and Jacob

 Having so much fun!

See he really did do it by himself. :)

I can't get enough of this little face!

And leave it to Frankie to screw up the group shot!  Oh well he was in need of food!

Happy Birthday Ty and Storie!!!

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving, Trey has to work the night before so he didn't get home until 9:30 am.  We forgot a few things at the store the day before so I loaded the boys up and we headed to Wal-mart and then went to my parents because we had some family in town.  We always have Thanksgiving at the Boyer's so we were just stopping by before all the Boyer festivities started.  It's so weird to think that this time last year we announced that we were pageant with Colton and this year he is already 4 months old.  Crazy how time flies.  We have so many things to be thankful for this year and I feel so blessed!

Before we left our house we had a mini photo shoot.
As you can tell Frankie was really into it..............NOT!

Well folk this is the best it gets.

 4 Months old

Uncle Sam was in town.  We are thankful because he is still cancer free!!

(Ok so I have a better picture than this but I loaded the wrong one)

Playing in the leaves for the first time!

This was all right before we left my parents house.

It always get a little crazy at Trey's parents because there are always so many people.  Honestly I didn't take many picture with my camera once we got there.  I had a few on my phone but none really worth posting.  Most of them were taken to make fun of the men trying to put together the turkey fryer.
 Colton and Landen

I got another big brown eyed boy!!

We had another great year with good family and friends!!  Can't wait to see what next year brings us!

Colton and Landen's Baptism

11/17/2012
It was a great day celebrating with family and close friends.  We started off running around like crazy people trying to get everyone and everything ready for church and the celebration afterwards but we made it and were actually early.  It was just a great day all around.  Both boys were great through church and the baptism.  It was wonderful getting to spend so much time with our entire family.  We are truly blessed with great people in our lives. :)

This picture cracks me up.  I asked Frankie to smile for a picture before we left for church and this is what I got.  Haha!

 LOVE this family pic!

The Boyer boys with their boys!

Frankie ran up to us and whispered "I won" and then ran off.  So cute and so funny!

Colton- 4 Months

Little boy you are 4 months old!!  I feel like you are going to be driving before we know it.  You have the sweetest little personality these day and don't get upset much.  Really the only times you fuss are if you are hungry, tired or overstimulated.  Other than that you are mellow yellow.  Here are a few things that we want to remember about you at 4 months old:

* You are rolling from side to side but haven't rolled over yet.  You get to one side and then flop back on your back, but I feel like you are really close to being able to roll over.

* You smile and talk a lot.  You are almost laughing but it usually turns into a loud sequel and smile.

* You love to watch TV and your brother.  You are pretty continue if you can hear a voice you know.

* You can turn yourself all around on the floor or in your bed at night.  Sometimes when you are playing on your activity mat and I look away for just a second you have completely changed directions.

* You are still sleeping swaddled and probably will until you can roll over.  I feel like right now you just sleep better when you are swaddled but you do take naps at Mrs. Erica's without being swaddled so it probably just a mom thing. :)

* You are wearing size 2 diapers and 3-6 month clothing.  (I did just pull out and wash all of the 6-9 month clothing because I think you will be in it very soon).

* We changed you to soy formula which has helped your belly issues some but we are still trying to work a few things out.  Hopefully we will have it all figured out by your 5 month post.

* We gave rice cereal a second try but it made your belly really hurt and you were up a lot that night.  We decided that there will be no more trying with rice cereal.

* You are taking 5-6, 6oz bottles a day.

* Here is your daily schedule: 6:30 am- bottle; 9:30 am- bottle; 10 am- nap; 12:30 pm- bottle; 1 pm- nap; 3:30 or 4:30 pm- bottle (depending on mood); 5:45 or 6 pm- nap; 7 pm- bath then 7:20 bottle and bed.

* You sometimes sleep until 1 am and need a bottle and then go back to sleep till 4ish and need to be rocked again or put in the swing or in bed with me.  For a few weeks you have been getting up every 2 hours, sometimes you just need your paci but other times you need to be rocked and other times you need a bottle.  I think a lot of it is gas/belly issues.  We have been trying to figure a few things out but nothing has really helped.  Hopefully it will get better soon.

Looking back at these pictures is crazy all of the changes in just the few short months.  Even despite getting up every 2 hours at 4 months old I still think you are the sweetest baby there is.  I love when you smile and talk.  You are so cute!  You love watching your big brother Frankie and I hope that one day you will be best buddies!!

Big Papa Sam's Visit

Over the weekend my grandpa came down from Springfield to meet Colton and play with Frankie!! We had a pretty laid back weekend and just played with the boys and ate yummy food! I was bad and didn't take any pictures but do have a few from my mom's phone. He drove home today but will be back in a few weeks for Colton's baptism! :)

Of course Colton won't smile when he sees the camera but he loved meeting his Big Papa Sam!

Frankie didn't want his picture taken but Mom was able to sneak this one.

We are so blessed to have such an involved grandpa and great grandpa. He is way to good to us and we love every minute we get to spend with him!!

Just for fun here is Papa meeting Frankie for the first time! :) These memories are priceless to me! I know that Meme is looking down on us and loving ever minute!

Two Little Monsters

Halloween 2012 marks Colton's very first Halloween and Frankie's 3rd Halloween!!  It's so fun look back to Frankie's first Halloween and see how everything changes year to year, crazy next year we will have a 3 year old and a 1 year old to go trick or treating with!! Frankie was more into this year than he was last year.  He even said trick or treat at a few house!

 Colton's FIRST Halloween!
(3 Months old)

He tried so hard to pick it up, but just couldn't handle it!  Colton is looking at him like really bro it's not going to happen! :)

 My mini man!!

My 2 little monsters and a scary shark!!  Poor Sophie she hated it.

So every year my mom goes trick or treating with us and my dad stay at our house and hands out candy!!  (They are to good to us)  Anyway Frankie must have thought something was funny!

Colton had woken up by the time we got home so we put his outfit on quickly and snapped a few pictures.  Frankie was ready for his outfit to be off.

We had fun.  I think we all had a little sugar high.  We can back with more candy than we gave out so we have plenty of candy.  Haha!!  I think next year I will buy 1 small bag and call it done.
