Our Family

About Erin

I was born and rasied in Cape Girardeau. After college I got married and we moved to St. Louis a year later. Soon after we bought a house and had a baby. Our lastest adventure was deciding to bring our family back to Cape! It's great being so close to both sets of grandparents and family!

2013 Vacation- Part Two

Wednesday:   We had a lazy morning and kind of just hung around the house for a while.  About 11 we packed up and headed to the Museum of Transportation to meet some friends for a play date!  We got there a little early so we took a quick ride on the mini train.  Colton really enjoyed it, Frankie wasn't so sure about it though.  As we were going by on the train we saw our friends: Emily, Wyatt and Sloane. Frankie and Wyatt are the same age, I think that Wyatt is 16 days younger than Frankie.  Sloane turned 1 in March, she is so tiny.  Her and Colton weigh the same. :)

Sloane and Colton.

The boys.  This is the best I could get....

Wyatt put this on and then did this pose.  He is to cute!

That is some serious train table action

Snack time.

Perfect little CHEESE face!!

The boys cooking us lunch

Riding the tram to the museum

Frankie even got to say "All Aboard"
We didn't stay only at the museum because it was lunch time and the boys were both pretty much over it.  Maybe they will enjoy it when they are older.  After lunch we went home for naps and then made a homemade pizza for dinner. Yummy!  After dinner we made a bon fire out side and Frankie and I snuggled under a blanket and he played games on my phone.  It was the perfect end to a fun day!

Thursday:  After Colton's morning nap we headed to the Magic House!  They are really added some fun things, even since the last time we visited.  Frankie really enjoyed it.  Colton enjoyed it to but he spend most of the time in his stroller eating. LOL!

Wasn't crazy about being in the bubble.

Loved this thing.

In the TP

Colton says, I didn't do it.

Fishing

Changing a tire

2 teeth!!

So you can't see Frankie's face here but he is screaming and trying to hold his hair down.

Colton didn't mind it at all.

I just can't help but smile when he smiles.

LOL!  They have an area with mulch and truck and I am pretty sure that was his favorite part.

Water table.
After we left the Magic house we went to my old work to visit old co-workers and then stopped by Trey's work to visit his old co-workers.  By that time it was about 4 and the boys were so tired.  Amazingly enough neither one of them fell asleep on the 20 minute drive home. We got home and started on dinner.  Crock-pot pulled pork, mac & cheese and veggie packs!!  Yummy!!

Waiting on dinner.
After dinner we made homemade ice cream that was to die for!!

Friday:  It was time to head home and I think we were all pretty much ready to be back in our own house.  That morning Frankie had a doctor appointment with a Pediatric GI doctor.  She didn't seem concerned about his poop issues at all and said that he should grow out of them.  Plus she feels very confident that we can get him on Miralax but advised us to wait until he was potty trained.  Woohoo!!  So thankful she didn't seem any need to run test and nothing was a red flag!  After that we headed to the new Lego store in the West County mall.  Since Frankie was a good boy he got to make his first Lego purchase! :)  Then we hit 55 south!!  We made it home just in time for naps!!  While the boys napped Trey and I sat on the deck and soaked up the sun!!

What a beautiful time off we had as a family!!  We are so blessed!!

2013 Vacation- Part One

Back in January we started following Dave Ramsey's debit snow ball basically to pay off student loans and basement debit (also to get our savings built back up).  Anyway we decided then that we were not going to do a beach vacation this year.  We opted for a low key trip to St. Louis staying with Trey's brother's family.  They have a son 16 days older than Colton!  We are all best friends so it was really fun to hang out all week!!!

Monday:  We got up and left around 9 on Monday morning, the boys were very good in the car.  Colton napped some on the way up there so we opted to head straight to Jeremy and Laura's to get our things settled.  I usually keep everything in our bags when we stay for the weekend but I wanted things more settled since it was going to be a week stay.  I must say that is the way to go, I knew where everything was.  By the time I finished un-packing the kids were getting a little restless so off we went to Wal-mart.  I know, what were we thinking!  We wanted to pick up some groceries because we knew that we would be cooking a few meal at there house and I need to pick up a few food items for the boys.  Once we got back the boys went down for a nap and honestly I think I feel asleep on the couch.  When we all got up we headed out to pick up his grandma to take her to dinner.  Trey and I had this great idea to get all the grand kids and great grand kids together and take grandma to dinner.  Some of the grand kids couldn't make it but I think that she really enjoyed it.  I am sad that I didn't get any pictures, but I know it made her very happy!

Tuesday:  It rained and stormed pretty bad on Monday night, which brought in some cooler weather.  We took full advantage of that and went to the zoo.  It was extra fun because Aunt Laura and Landen got to come with us.  This was Colton and Landen's first time to the STL zoo!  I think they had a blast and the weather was perfect!!

Cousin time!

The new Sea Lion area.  (I think the pool was a little dirty ??)

Sweet boy

We tried to get a family pic.  I am finding this is harder and harder these days!  LOL!

If you haven't noticed Frankie is working on finding that perfect smile!  Haha!

So sweet!

He really liked the rhino, we stayed there the longest I think.

Then my camera died. :(  Mommy fail, I should know to always charge my camera before the zoo.  I got a few other cute pics on my phone that I will have to share soon in a random post.  It started getting hot just in time for lunch so we left and ate lunch.  After we got home everybody was exhausted.  We all took a 3 hour nap!!  We jumped up from our nap and headed to St. Charles for dinner with some good friends and there kiddos.  The kids had a blast playing together, we got home late and went straight to bed!!

Part two---Coming soon!!

John and Amber's Wedding (5/18/13)

So I know I did a post from my phone last week but I do have a few good pictures from my camera that I wanted to share.  Since Trey was in the wedding I got to be involved with lots of fun wedding stuff! Lets face it I love weddings and John and Amber are two of my favorite people.  It was also fun meeting new friends!!  It was a "no kid" reception so we opted to leave the kids home while we went to St. Louis for all the wedding festivities, starting on Thursday evening for the rehearsal dinner.  I am so grateful that my parents offered to keep them the whole time.  When you are not use to taking care of 2 kids 24-7 it can get a little crazy! :)  I know they loved every minute of it but I think they were ready for us to come home on Sunday!

He cleans up nice!!

This picture just melts my heart.  This is the father of the groom seeing his grand daughters as he walked into the church!!

Bestie!! (Weird angle)

Here comes the bride!

Trey doing the second reading.

Mr. & Mrs. John Palazzolo

A little celebration on in the limo.

Awesome, cupcake cake!

First dance.

So happy we got to celebrate with them on their special day!

Photo Shoot

Back in April we had Frankie's 3 year and Colton's 9 month pictures taken.  One of my best friend (Christian Berens) has started a side business and does and amazing job!!  He has taken all of our pictures since before Frankie was born.  I have to say up front that Frankie was not into getting his picture taken that day but Christian was available to get a few "good" shots of him.  Colton on the other hand was a ham, he loved the camera!!

PLEASE DON'T DIE FROM THE CUTENESS YOU ARE ABOUT TO SEE!

I love my sweet family!!  It is hard to believe that Frankie is 3 and Colton is getting close to 1.  I have a super fun photo shoot planned for little man!!

* I purposely didn't get Frankie's hair cute before his pictures but now I am kind of wishing I would have because I love how it is cut now.  Yes he look much more grown up but I have already faced the facts that he is becoming a big boy now.
