Smiles, Activity Mat & Play-doh

So many new things happening at our hosue!!

Colton gave his first real smiles (non-pooping)!
Enjoying his first time on his activity mat.

Frankie showing him how the stuff works.

Frankie's first time playing with Play-doh!
 He loved it!

Again what better way to learn than from your big brother!
Ok so I know this picture isn't listed in the title, but look matching PJ's!!!

Love my boys so much!!  I hope that they will be best of friends!!

Big Boy Bed

Frankie got a big boy bed!!!  Well we changed his crib to a toddler bed. :)  He is growing so fast these days that he will grow out of the crib size mattress before we know it.  He never once tried to climb out of his bed but he has been getting his little legs stuck in between the rails so we thought it was time.  We changed his bed over Wednesday (8/22) morning while Frankie was at daycare.

This is what he thought of it when he came home.  I think this face is priceless.  It was almost like he thought we broke his bed.  Haha!
Checking it out for the first time.
 I think he likes it.
 Well it feels the same.
Yeah I like it Mommy!!

The first night was a scuess.  He slept all night and was waiting for someone to get him up out of bed this morning.  First nap is in process as we speak and he went down great and was asleep within minutes.  I know we might have a few hard nights here and there but I am so happy that he likes it.  We were playing in his room earlier (before nap) and he pointed to his bed and said "mommy fix it".  Haha!!

Park Day!!

Last Saturday we had a fun park day with friends:

Frankie going down the slide on his belly!!

Sweet Brynn!

Checking out the ducks.

Frankie wanted no part in checking out the ducks.

I can't seem to get a picture of these 2 where they are both looking but still cute pictures.

Brynn's daddy suprised her at the park.  So sweet!!

Snack time!  When we got back from checking out the ducks our friend Warren was there playing with his grandparents!

What a fun time at the park.  So thankful for good friend to do fun things with!!

Colton's Birth Announcements

Since I couldn't send one to everyone, I wanted to make sure that I posted them! :)
My dear friend Trisha made them for us and I just couldn't pick one.
I love both of them so much!!!

The Boys!

Here are just a few things I forgot to post in Frankie's post and Colton's 1 month post.

Bath time!!

Sleepy boy!!

*Colton seems to be trying to fight sleep a little bit now. He likes to be held while he sleeps and if you set him down he is in a super deep sleep he will pop his eyes open and not fall back asleep. He also has been waking up at about 1:30 and not wanting to go back to sleep until 3 or 3:30, not cool. Haha!
*He is smiling more and more these days and starting to coo too!! He is growing up so fast. I can't believe that I only have 6 weeks of maternity leave left.
*He is in a size 1 diaper and 0-3 month sleepers. He can still fit into a few newborn outfits that he has.

Frankie building a castle with jelly at Bob Evans with Grammy.

A few of my favs!!
Oh Frankie, haha!
*He loves to eat plain bread and cereal and milk.
* He only wants to wear shirts with Mickey mouse or motorcycles on it and yes he picks out his own shirts every morning. He still need some help with the shorts, he hasn't mastered the matching skill yet.
*He fights a nap for me, everytime hands down but doesn't for anybody else. (he is fighting one right now)
*his memory is amazing, so don't say anything unless you are sure you can make it happen.

Colton- 1 Month Old

Happy 1 Month Birthday little guy.  It's hard to believe that a month has already passed since I had you.  I have done a lot of things differently with you than I did with you big brother.  First off, I switch you to formula at 2 weeks old.  It made the world of difference for us.  You and I are much happier because you are getting to eat and filling full after you eat.  Also I guess since I have had 2 years of practice I feel more comfortable with you and we have been on the go since you were born.  I have been to the library for singing time, Target & Wal-mart a lot and have had a few fun play dates with new friends!  You have gotten big so fast!!!  At your 2 week appointment you were 8 lbs 9 ozs which is 3 ozs over your birth weight!  I can't wait to see what you are at your 2 month appointment.

Here are some fun things about you:

*You have amazingly strong neck muscles and can hold your head up on your own for a good amount of time.

*You have been able to spend more time with out someone holding you.  You enjoy laying on your back looking around.  You also really like the swing and bouncy seat.

*You seem to only like to take a nap in you swing for bouncy seat.  But will sleep in your bassinet at night.

*You don't sleep or nap well if you are not swaddled, but you really hate to be swaddled if your  awake.

*You have a hard time going to sleep unless someone is holding you.  (Not good, we need to work on this.  Haha!)

*You eat every 2-3 hours.  At about 3 weeks I started giving you 4 ozs of formula because you still seems hungry after 3 ozs.  It seems to fill you up now.  You were eating every 2 hours but I have been working on spreading it out more and you can easily make it 2 1/2 (most of the time) but sometimes you surprise me and go 3 or longer.

*At night you usually sleep 3-4 hours at a time.

*You always seem to smile at me after you finish getting your bottle, it's very cute!!

*You can still where newborn clothing but the sleepers are to small.  I have started to put you in 0-3 but they are still a little big.

*You were in newborn diapers because I still had some that I wanted to use but should have been switched to size 1 at 3 weeks.  Haha!  The size 1 seem to be just a tiny bit big, but the newborns were way to small.

Happy One Month!!

Just Born.......taken at 2 weeks old

You are such a joy!!  So thankful to have 2 sweet boys!!  It going to be great to watch you grow, bring it on!!!

Lazy L Safari

On Saturday we headed the a petting zoo that they have here in Cape.  We went with some good friends that live across the street from my parents house.  It was a beautiful day to be outside too!  It was just me and Frankie, Grammy kept Colton company at her house so it could be just me and buddy!  It was Wild West Day at Lazy L so some of the workers put on a show for everyone.

At first glance this may look like a horse but it is really a zorse (half horse & half zebra)!

Watching the Wild West Show

Then we checked out all of the animals, Brynn wasn't too scared of them............

But this is what Frankie thought of them..............not a huge fan, hints why I am holding him.

This was the best picture I could get of these two.

Now he smiles....Haha!

This pretty much sums up our day at Lazy L.  I don't know if he still just wasn't feeling 100% or if he was just being TWO.  But from the time we got out of the car he started saying that he was scared.  Then once we got close to the animals he was still scared.  Haha.  He is going through this faze right now that he is scared of everything and everything hurts.  Hopefully this will pass fast.  Thanks for inviting us Whitney, Ryan & Brynn!!!

Big Brother Frankie

Since I am not doing monthly post for Frankie anymore, I thought I would just do a small update on how he is doing.  First I just want to say what an amazing little boy Frankie is!  He is so smart and loves everything.  He also repeats and remembers everything so you have to be really careful with what you say and what you tell him he gets to do because he will remember.  We have started the mine stage, I thought we might skip this but with the little brother here now he seems to think everything is his.  He will still share, but I just sometime have to talk him into it.  Here are a few things that I want to make sure I remember:

* Monsters are a big deal- He will say "there's a monster coming".

*Super heros are very cool, he is often Batman or Spiderman when he is running around the house.  I think that he picked this up from the babysitters house.

*He loves his babysitter Erica's house.  She has a 4 year old name Tyler and  a 2 year old name Storie.  Frankie will often talk about all 3 of them after we come home or on the weekends.  When we are playing or watching TV he will always grab a bag or a bucket and say that he is going to Erica's house.  So sweet, he lights but when he see them outside.  We are blessed to found someone that is great with kids and that Frankie loves!

*He is an AMAZING big brother.  He loves Colton and always wants to hold and see him.  He gives him kisses all the time.  Most of the time the first thing he say in the morning is "where's Colton".  The first 2 weeks were a little rough but I think that will be best friends!!

*He can count to 10 but most of the time skips the number 4.

*He can sing the ABCs but sometimes skips some of the letters but we are working on it.

*He can sing all kinds of nursery rhymes.  I just love when he sings.  He often sings songs to Colton when he is upset.  So sweet!

*He loves watching stuff on the iPad, we don't have one but Grammy does so she brings it over everything she comes over.  He loves it.  He even knows how to work it for the most part, kind of scary.  Haha!

*He loves books.  We read big stacks of them everyday!

*He has been a big helper to me.  He gets me things when I ask him and likes to help cook sometimes.  He also has kind of started to help me pick up his toys when we are done playing.

*He is in a size 4 diaper (still kind of big), his shirts are 24 months to 2T and his shorts are 18 months.

That is all I can think of right now. :)

Meeting Colton for the first time!

Look at that smile!!  What a sweet kid!

My heart is melting! :)

I couldn't be happier!!

Frankie is so much fun to be around!!  He makes me smile and laugh everyday! I can't even image life without him!!!!
