Our Family

About Erin

I was born and rasied in Cape Girardeau. After college I got married and we moved to St. Louis a year later. Soon after we bought a house and had a baby. Our lastest adventure was deciding to bring our family back to Cape! It's great being so close to both sets of grandparents and family!

4th of July- 2013

This year marks Colton's very first 4th of July.  I remember last year holding sweet baby Landen and being huge and pregnant!! This year was lots of fun with 2 active kiddos!!  Trey's parents own a lake house in St. Louis and they recently finished renovated it and bought a boat!!!  Woohoo, we had so much fun!!  We woke up on Thursday and loaded up the car and headed north.  Colton's napped some of the way and Frankie just watch movies in the car.  Once we got there we got everything settled in and then we headed out on the boat!!  Well first the boat had to be put in the water, it took a lot longer than I thought and it started getting pretty hard to find things to keep the boys happy.

Getting ready for Colton's first boat ride.

Sweet boys!

My #1

Loving Aunt Katie's hat!

FINALLY on the boat!!!

Colton's first time not ripping his hat off in 2 seconds, it lasted about 5 this time.

Henry made a new buddy!

He wanted to get in the water so bad but didn't like it.

I thought it might have been the life jacket...Nope he just didn't like it.

Super Henry!!!  LOL!
We had some tired babies!

Sharing a goldfish snack.

We tried......

Man it's hard to get a good picture.
Sweet big brother

Heading back out on the boat to get a spot to watch the fireworks.

Way past their bed time.

We got back and Frankie said he wasn't tired and wanted grapes.  This was seconds after I gave him grapes.  Bless his heart it was way past his bedtime.

We had a great, fun packed day.  The boys did great.  The fireworks didn't start until after 9:30, which I thought was really late.  Both babies made it though the show and fell asleep on the back to the lake house.  I was shocked at how well Colton handle the firework since it didn't even start until 2 hours after he is usually sound asleep.  Frankie dosed off right when we got to the lake house so he must have thought his had a little cat nap.  We put the babies in their beds while the boys got the boat secured to the dock.  Once they got inside we had strawberry shortcake, yes it was after 11 and yes it was extremely yummy!!!  The next day we got up and had a huge breakfast thanks to Papa Gus and then tooled around on the boat for a little bit and then packed up and headed home.  We had birthday party festivities to get ready for!!!  What a fabulous 4th!!  Can't wait to see what next year brings us!!
