Our Family

About Erin

I was born and rasied in Cape Girardeau. After college I got married and we moved to St. Louis a year later. Soon after we bought a house and had a baby. Our lastest adventure was deciding to bring our family back to Cape! It's great being so close to both sets of grandparents and family!

Colton- 11 Months

I don't even know where to start.  You are a miniature daddy all the way.  You are very laid back, mellow yellow and almost always HAPPY!!  In fact really the only time you ever cry is if you are out of food or you think Frankie is eating something that you don't have.  You are so sweet and loving but you still don't really like to snuggle.  You have the cutest smile and the sweetest laugh I have ever heard.  Frankie has really been enjoying making you laugh, he seems to know just what to do to always make you laugh!  Here are a few things that I want to remember  about you:

*  You are officially in a big boy car seat (rear facing)!  I think you like it a lot more because you sit up taller and you have more room.  Plus I couldn't possibly carry the infant seat any longer.

*  You are talking a lot more.  It's actually pretty funny because there are several words that we say to you that you will make the sound that sounds like the word.  For example we will say good job and the sound that comes out of your mouth sounds just like good job.  We will say thank you and you will say thank you.  Some things that you do say: ball, nana (banana), baba (bottle), dada, mama, and by (bye).

*  Almost anytime you throw something you say ball even if it's not a ball.  Speaking of you have quit the arm on you.  I think you might be a good addition for the St. Louis Cardinals so day!

*  When we say NO NO NO you shake your head back and fourth, which of course is super cute!

*  If we say NO when you are doing something you aren't suppose to you will either continue doing it (happens often) or you will stop and start crying.  You sure do know how to turn it on.  You pout face is to cute to resist!

*  You crawl fast as lighting and can get anywhere that you want to go.  You can pull up and stand to anything and you are cruising around all the furniture.  You can even stand for a few seconds by yourself.

*  You love to be chased.  You get so excited and sequel and laugh so hard.  This has become our new game while we are getting you dressed.  You crawl or cruise all over your room.

*  You love playing at the train table, mostly throwing everything on the floor but you do like to play with cars.  You will roll them on the floor and then go get them.  You also love playing with the Little People Wheelies track.

*  You love anything that plays music and you LOVE to dance.

*  You love anything and everything that Frankie touches.  You think you are so BIG.  Honestly you really don't even play with "baby" toys to much because you are always wanting what Frankie has.

*  We have started some table foods because you have decided that you don't like stage 3 baby food and you will no longer each veggie flavored baby food.  Some of your favorite foods so far are toast, bananas (whole, not cut up), pop tarts and gold fish.  We are really trying to let you explore with other foods but you don't seem to be interested.  Hopefully by next month you will want to eat more healthier options.

*  You still have 5 bottles a day.  Before your second bottle you have baby oatmeal then a bottle and before your third bottle you have baby food fruit then a bottle.  Your last bottle is right before bed and you are usually pretty tired and can hardly stay away.

*  You usually sleep from 7 pm- 5/5:30 am.  You nap 2 times a day sometime short and other times long, it pretty hit and miss.  Over the past month you have started "head banging" in your pack n play at the baby sitters and when you aren't home for naps or bed.  It kind of freaky but apparently pretty common.

*  You still only have 2 teeth.  You have been drooling for months on end so hopefully more are coming out soon.

*  You are in size 3 diapers and 12 month clothes.

*  I don't have your stats but I think you are 18+ pounds.

Pictures are coming close to impossible, LOL he just can't sit still.

CHEESE!

He had a little tumble and scratched his nose at my parents house.  He's a tough one though.

I'm 11 month old!!!

Sweet boy words can not express how thankful we are to call your ours.  You are learning so much and becoming a sweet little boy (tear, tear).  I love watching you explore!  I love you so much!!
