About Erin

I was born and rasied in Cape Girardeau. After college I got married and we moved to St. Louis a year later. Soon after we bought a house and had a baby. Our lastest adventure was deciding to bring our family back to Cape! It's great being so close to both sets of grandparents and family!

Boyer Vacation- Daytona/Days 1 & 2

Day 1:
Friday (6/13) night around 8:15 pm we head out of town and towards the beach!!!  The kids stayed awake for a while and then fell fast asleep.  It was a full moon so the drive was beautiful, plus no traffic!!
3:45am pit stop for gas

They both went back to sleep and then got up for the day around 6:15, we pulled off and had breakfast at Cracker Barrel and then drove about 3 more hours to Daytona!  When we got there the sun was out but dark storm clouds were moving in.  We decided to stick it out in the pool then had a small lunch.  It started to rain pretty hard so we went back to the room and changed.  It was killing me that we hadn't even been down to the beach yet so we went and played in the rain.  It was so much FUN!!

Beach Selfie!

They loved running into the water!
Shortly after we played in the water Jeremy, Laura and Landen got there!  It kept raining so we went in and got ready for dinner at Joe's Crab Shack.
Waiting to leave..

Our "beach" picture (under shelter since it was pouring down rain)

Loving the rain

We made it to Joe's Crab Shack just in time to hear it was a  2 hour wait. :(

We were all soaked!!
After waiting about 20 minutes we decided that we couldn't wait until after 8pm to eat so we made another run for it and ate at a little Tiki Bar & Grill.  It was not Joe's Crab Shack but we made it work.

Day 2:
Check out was at 11am so we got up and headed to the beach early!! :)  It was a sunny, beautiful day!!  The boys weren't as excited about the water on day 2.
We weren't thinking about the sun being behind us, but this is the only one that everybody is looking.

That's better! :)

He loved the sand!!

My little family! :)

This guy didn't love the sand or the water.  He was heading for the steps saying "bye bye water, bye bye sand"

After the beach and the pool we headed to the room to shower and pack all our stuff!  Then we headed to lunch, the Lighthouse and the aquarium.

Lunch on a boat (@ Hidden Treasure)!!  It was so fun and the food was amazing!!

Our view!

My love!
 Daytona Lighthouse:

Sweet boys!!  Colton wasn't going to have anything to do with pictures.
My 'Merica boy!

I can't even tell you how much I love these 3!!

Waiting for everyone to come down.
 Daytona Aquarium:

Just now seeing the sign by the shell...haha, my bad!

After the aquarium we set our sites on Orlando to meet up with the rest of the family.  Both boys were asleep before we made it out of Daytona!  The beach was a perfect way to start our vacation!!
