About Erin

I was born and rasied in Cape Girardeau. After college I got married and we moved to St. Louis a year later. Soon after we bought a house and had a baby. Our lastest adventure was deciding to bring our family back to Cape! It's great being so close to both sets of grandparents and family!

Congrats!  I am glad we got to celebrate your wedding day with you!!  It was a prefect day and a perfect wedding ceremony!!!  Everything was beautiful!!!

Colton- 3 Months

You are 3 months old (well on 10/9/12)!!  Wow!!  I feel like you are a very mellow baby until you are hungry or tired.  Haha!!  You are growing like a weed.  You are talking and smiling a lot now, I think that I have even heard you laugh out loud!!!

* You are smiling a lot!  You love to talk and you now also make this sounds that to an adult sounds like a loud sigh but you love to do it.  I will make the same sound that you make and then you will smile and make it right back to me. :)

* You can move yourself all around in your crib while in bed at night.

* You are still sleeping in a swaddle and you stay swaddled pretty much all night long even if you wake up in the middle of the night.

* You usually wake up around 1:30 am, I give you a bottle and you sleep until about 4 am.  From there I bring you in bed with me and you sleep till 6 am.

* Your first bottle is usually around 6:30 am and your last bottle is around 7:30 pm.

* You are eating 4 oz bottles about 7 times a day.

* You are still wearing size 1 diapers, but honestly you really need size 2.
(I almost have the size 1 used up)

* You can still wear 0-3 onesises but most of the clothes that you wear are 3-6 month.

* When I weighed you at home you were 14 lbs 4 oz and 25 inches long.

 That fan is pretty cool.

I couldn't be happier that you are my sweet baby boy!!  You are adjusting to everything that we throw at you and you are doing it like a pro.  We still need to work on your night time routine but I think that once we get the day time down the nights will go much better. I love you so much!!!

PAT- Down on the Farm Event

Yesterday PAT (Parents as Teachers) did an event for all the kids called Down on the Farm.  It was at South Elementary in Jackson and they all kids of "farm" activities set up.  It took Frankie a little bit to warm up but I think he had a blast once he did.  Side note, I only know how to use my camera on auto and for some reason on this fist picture it was on something different.  Haha! Hints why it is so dark, not a clue!

 Painting the pig.

Making a corn husk with popcorn.

Digging for veggie.  Surprisingly for a kid that doesn't like to be dirty it was
really hard to get him away from this table.

Making a sheep with gram crackers, icing, vanilla wafers, marshmallows,
pretzels and chocolate chips.

And this is what face you get when icing is on your finger.
This kid cracks me up!

Playing in the corn, digging for small barn animals.

Playing with friends.

We had so much fun!!  There were also huge block to play with.  Frankie was really cute playing and knocking them over, no pictures because I had to help!  Oh Trey and Colton came to but Colton slept the entire time.  We can't wait until the next PAT event!!

Pioneer Orchard

10/13/2012
Pioneer Orchard is right down the street from our house, this is the second year we have taken Frankie.  It was a nasty day, foggy and misting but we invited friends to come so we didn't want to not go.  Although both boys were in special mood I don't think they would have cared if we left with out a pumpkin.  Haha!  We love doing things with Grammy, Mrs Joan, Mrs Jessica and Warren!!  We always have a blast no matter what!!

Frankie wasn't into having his picture taken at all this day.

 I think he found one!!

 The boys checking them out.

 Train ride..........

 Watching a movie!

Colton's first trip to the pumpkin patch was a success!!  He was only awake for a few minutes of it!

Later that day we witnessed two friends get married!!  Congrats Gock and Michelle, we wish you many years of happiness!!!  I didn't get any pictures though. :(

Party Weekend

Saturday we had a baby shower and a birthday party and then Sunday we had another birthday party!!

Our first stop was Erin's baby shower.  She is a good family friend.  This was the "bible study" baby shower.  My mom and her friends have thrown a shower for weddings and babies for all of us, so they have the whole party thing down pat!  They only have a few more to go and then they will be finished throwing showers.  Haha!

Then we headed to Gammy and Papa's to take a nap (Frankie) and then it was off to Kaden's Thomas the Train birthday party!!

 Aunt Trisha playing with Frankie

He wanted to put Thomas on the cake and drive him around.

Then he was mad because we were singing Happy Birthday.

Sunday we headed to Discovery Playhouse to celebrate Jacob's birthday!

Make a wish!!

We had a crazy busy weekend but it was so much fun!!!  Seems like our next couple of weekends are pretty busy so stay tuned for our next weekend adventure.

Maternity Leave

Well 12 weeks went by super fast! I have been back to work for almost 2 weeks now. Getting back in the grove of things has been easier than expected. The mornings have actually been pretty smooth. I typically get up around 6 to shower and get ready for work, then give Colton a bottle at 6:30, get him ready and then pack my lunch and get bottles an sippy cups ready. By then it's about 7 so I go in to either get Frankie or wake him up. As soon as he gets out of bed he asked for cereal and milk. I feed him cereal and milk and change his clothes/diaper in between bits. Them we head over the the babysitter's (Erica) at 7:30. After work I rush home to get them! :) I would say Frankie adjusted really well to little brother joining in on his playtime at Erica's. On the third day Frankie asked me as I was getting him ready if Colton got to come to Erica's, when I said yes he smiled and clapped! What a sweet big brother he is! Colton had adjusted really fast to being away from his momma too. This week she already kind of has him on a schedule. He placed himself on it so in time she will change just a little so it goes more with the other kids schedules though, plus I am sure he will be changing it again soon enough.

Colton's first day at Erica's

Frankie wanted to be in a picture but out of all of them, this was the best one. Haha!

Looking back we did lots of fun thing:
•we went to STL to hang out with Jeremy, Laura and baby Landen
•Colton got to meet Trey's grandma
•we had play dates almost every Friday with my good friend Jessica and her son Warren. We went to Le bounce, the fair and played at our house.
•Colton has regular dates with Papa so I could workout or just hangout somewhere other than our house.
•we also hung out at aunt Annie's and Mimi and Papa Gus's house.
•we visited Grammy at work at least weekly
•almost daily naps holding sweet Colton, sometimes I would nap to :)

So many fun and new experiences! I was so blessed to get to spend 12 wonderful, stressful, sleepless weeks with my boys! I was very sad to have to go back to work but I know they are in amazing hands at Erica's, plus Frankie loves it there and I am sure Colton does to!!!
